The required amount of water to apply to your lawn and gardens is 10mm. This is achieved by adjusting your run time per station depending on the sprinkler type. This causes a lot of dry patching and under watering in most cases with modern sprinklers being more water efficient but under run. A Standard popup sprayer for instance will run for approximately 10 minutes to apply 10mm, A Gear driven sprinkler or Precision nozzle will run for 20 minutes for 10mm, and a rotary sprayer can run for up to 45 minutes for it to apply 10mm.
